Scott Reeves’ return as Steven Webber in General Hospital explained
Reeves stepped into the shoes of Steven Webber in 2009. However, his journey on the show was filled with numerous ups and downs. His problems started from his birth itself when his own mother, Heather Webber, sold him off as a baby. However, he returned as the temporary head of the hospital.
Steven’s life continues to go downhill with his psychotic mother’s notorious life as a criminal. He even ended up getting involved in her mother’s criminal activities like blackmailing and other illegal things.
Further, Steven got jailed for killing a patient in a coma in an effort to save a child. As a result, he lost his medical license and also the end of his romance with Olivia Falconeri, whom he was planning to marry. Thus, Steven’s character came to an end in 2013 with his character going to prison.
Now, after 11 years, the young man is finally making his comeback to the show. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Scott Reeves opened up on his return after a call from executive producer Frank Valentini. He stated:
“He was telling me, ‘Steve’s gotten out of jail, he’s been released on parole,’ and when he told me the storyline idea, I couldn’t have been more excited. I said, ‘Oh, my gosh, Frank, this is great! I would love to come do this.'”
As per the latest episode, Heather is about to be released from prison. The reason behind her criminal activities was proven as cobalt poisoning following her hip surgery. Elizabeth was seen telling Terry that Steven is currently living in Sedona following his release. However, he surprised everyone by showing up in Port Charles. It will be interesting to see how Steven and Heather meet up after going scott-free and if will it lead to another trouble.
