Beyoncé attending Kamala Harris’ Houston rally rumors explained

Rumors are circulating that Beyoncé will join Vice President Kamala Harris at an upcoming rally in Houston this Friday, with a source familiar with the planning confirming to CNN that this would be the first public appearance for the superstar with Harris.

Alongside Texas icon Willie Nelson, Beyonce’s presence is expected to be a huge moment for the campaign. Harris’ team has reportedly been working behind the scenes since she joined the Democratic ticket to arrange a joint appearance with the pop star before Election Day.

Beyoncé’s team has yet to respond to requests for comment. The Washington Post first reported the news. Beyoncé endorsed Harris months ago by permitting the campaign to use her song “Freedom” as its official anthem. Harris made her first campaign headquarters appearance to the tune of “Freedom.” The song has been used in multiple campaign ads and appearances, including Harris’ stage debut at the Democratic National Convention.

Despite previous rumors, such as the canceled Democratic convention appearance, this time around, the anticipation is stronger. These reports are sourced from several reputable publications. Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother and a vocal supporter of Harris, is also set to appear at the rally in Houston.

The event will focus on women’s reproductive rights, with Harris expected to emphasize the contrast between her and former President Donald Trump’s views on abortion and restrictive laws like those passed in Texas following the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
