No, Call of Duty Skins Don’t Carry Forward to Black Ops 6

With the recent release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, fans are wondering whether skins, weapons, bundles, or operators purchased in the previously released Modern Warfare II and III will carry forward into the new game. Activision had previously introduced the Carry Forward system in Modern Warfare III, where skins and other items purchased in Modern Warfare II could be transferred into that game.

Here is your query answered.

Treyarch confirms that Modern Warfare skins won’t be in Black Ops 6

In the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 blog post detailing the various game editions and preorder benefits, Treyarch confirmed that the latest installment of the first-person shooter franchise will not have the “carry forward” system.

The company explained that they want every player, regardless of veteran or newcomer, to have a fresh experience when launching the game. Moreover, they also want players to learn the weapons and gear from Black Ops 6’s time period, apart from learning new gameplay mechanics like the Omnimovement.

However, the company confirmed that there was only one exception to this new decision: the Black Ops 6 Vault Edition Woods Operator Pack preorder benefit. This pack, currently available in Modern Warfare III, will be the only thing to carry forward into Black Ops 6. Treyarch, however, affirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone‘s “carry forward” system will work for players as usual.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features a single-player story campaign, multiplayer, and a zombies mode. The main story, set in the early 90s, follows Troy Marshall and Frank Woods, who assemble a new team of operatives after going rogue. This team embarks on a mission to stop Pantheon, a shady organization that has infiltrated the CIA and which brands their opposers as traitors to the United States of America.

The game is available to play on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Windows.
