Yes, Vanessa Guillén’s Sister Voted for Donald Trump

Vanessa Guillén’s tragic death in 2020 shocked the nation and sparked nationwide outrage. In the wake of this heartbreaking incident, speculation has emerged regarding Donald Trump‘s promise to cover the funeral expenses, a commitment that a recent report by The Atlantic suggests was not fulfilled.

As controversy surrounds these claims, many are now questioning whether Vanessa Guilléns sister voted for Donald Trump. Here are more details.

Did Vanessa Guillén vote for Donald Trump?

Yes, Vanessa Guillén’s sister, Mayra Guillén, voted for Donald Trump.

She publicly refuted The Atlantic’s report and expressed her gratitude toward Trump for how he treated their family. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Mayra Guillén wrote, “Wow. I don’t appreciate how you are exploiting my sister’s death for politics- hurtful & disrespectful to the important changes she made for service members. President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa. In fact, I voted for President Trump today.”

After the tragic murder of Vanessa Guillén in April 2020, Trump initially appeared to offer support to her grieving family. Guillén, a 20-year-old Army private stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, was brutally killed by a fellow soldier. In response, Trump invited the Guillén family to the White House, where he reportedly described Vanessa as “a spectacular person” and promised to assist with funeral costs, including financial aid for the service.

However, a recent report by The Atlantic alleged that Trump became infuriated upon learning that the funeral cost $60,000. In a shocking claim, he allegedly responded, “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f***ing Mexican!” Trump reportedly ordered his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, not to pay the bill and accused the family of “trying to rip me off.” Despite the initial offer for help, no financial support was received from Trump, according to the family’s attorney.

The Trump campaign strongly denied these allegations. Campaign spokesman Alex Pfeiffer dismissed the claims as “an outrageous lie from The Atlantic two weeks before the election.” Kash Patel, Trump’s former Pentagon Chief of Staff, who was reportedly present during the alleged exchange, also defended Trump. He emphasized that the president had ensured Vanessa Guillén received full military honors.
