Violet Finn, portrayed by Jophielle Love, immediately won the hearts of General Hospital fans via her sweet and cute personality and loving relationship with Hamilton Finn. Who are Violet Finn’s parents in General Hospital?
Violet Finn’s parents in General Hospital are Dr. Hamilton Finn and Hayden Barnes.
Hayden Barnes, Violet’s mother, had primarily raised her in the earlier part of her life, away from Port Charles and her father, Hamilton Finn. Finn believed Hayden miscarried, as she had lied to him about it. However, Violet was eventually brought by Hayden to Port Charles for treatment. She was subsequently placed in her father’s custody before Hayden left town again.
Violet initially struggled with her mother’s absence but soon forged a bond with her father and her new family, comprised of her grandfather Gregory, uncle Chase, and Hamilton’s girlfriend at the time, Anna Devane. Anna had adopted a motherly role towards the young Violet.
Unfortunately, Anna and Hamilton’s relationship ended, greatly upsetting Violet. She faced further tragedy when Gregory passed away after being diagnosed with ALS following Chase’s wedding with Brook Lynn.
Violet’s life only got filled with more tragedy when Hamilton, driven by grief and guilt over Gregory’s passing, began drinking alcohol. Worried about how this would negatively impact Violet, Tracy, and Chase convinced Hamilton to go to rehab or risk losing legal custody of Violet to Chase. Hamilton eventually went to rehab, and Violet was placed in the custody of the Quartermaine family. Chase and Brook Lynn then ensured Violet would have a safe and normal childhood.
Hamilton Finn was eventually released from rehab off-screen. According to Jophielle Love, Violet has also reunited with him off-screen.
