Why Victoria Justice Won’t ‘Push’ Her Children Toward a Hollywood Career

Fans of Victoria Justice are curious about her views on whether she would encourage her future children to pursue a Hollywood career. This curiosity is rather unsurprising considering how Justice herself began her career as a child actress, by appearing in supporting roles in projects like Gilmore Girls and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

Here is what you need to know about Victoria Justice’s statements about getting her children a Hollywood career.

Victoria Justice says she ‘would never push’ her children toward working in Hollywood

Victoria Justice, who currently does not have any children, said she “would never push” an acting career on her child in any way.

However, she claimed to be open to helping them if they were extremely passionate about pursuing one. “Who am I to hold them back in life?,” she told Yahoo Entertainment while promoting her new film Depravity. “I would want to support them and help them thrive in any way possible.”

The Victorious star, however, stressed that she would also teach them the importance of having a “balanced life,” and getting an education. “I wouldn’t want my kid to be homeschooled straightaway and not go to public school and have a normal life,” she opined.

Justice’s stance stands in contrast to those of fellow actress Demi Lovato. Like Justice, Lovato began her career as a child actor, but she has taken a firmer view on the issue. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lovato stated that she wouldn’t let her children pursue acting until they turn 18, expressing concern over their ability to enjoy a childhood she felt she missed.

Lovato’s perspective is rather unsurprising as she experienced a difficult childhood due to her acting career, and getting bullied during middle school. The bullying got so bad in seventh grade that she dropped out of public school and requested homeschooling. (via TMZ)
