What Did Barack Obama Say About Donald Trump in Pittsburg Rally?

During a recent rally in Pittsburgh, former President Barack Obama made headlines with his remarks about Donald Trump. Speaking to the crowd, Obama addressed key issues surrounding the upcoming election and highlighted the differences between Trump and the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris.

Here’s all you need to know about Obama’s statements about Trump during the Pittsburg rally.

Barack Obama’s statements about Donald Trump explained

Barack Obama recently voiced strong support for Vice President Kamala Harris while criticizing Donald Trump at the Pittsburg rally. This event aimed to motivate young voters ahead of the upcoming November 5 election. Obama emphasized the need for unity and change, asserting that it is time for a woman to hold the presidency.

In his remarks, Obama pointed out Trump’s disconnect from everyday Americans. He compared Trump’s lengthy speeches to those of former Cuban President Fidel Castro and questioned why anyone would believe that Trump could bring real change.

Obama emphasized that true strength does not come from bullying, a trait he associated with Trump. He said, “I’m sorry gentlemen, I’ve noticed this, especially with some men who seem to think Trump’s behavior, the bullying and the putting people down, is a sign of strength. And I am here to tell you that is not what real strength is.”

Additionally, the former president shared personal anecdotes about parenthood to illustrate his point. Obama said, “I remember buying diapers after Malia was born and thinking, ‘That’s how much they cost? Do you think Donald Trump ever changed a diaper?” He emphasized that Trump’s focus seemed more on his ego than on the needs of the people.

Supporting Vice President Kamala Harris, Obama said, “We are ready for a better story, one that helps us work together instead of turning against each other. Pennsylvania, we’re ready for a President Kamala Harris.” He also pointed out the importance of voter turnout, particularly among Black men, who, according to recent polls, have shown hesitance in supporting Harris.
