The recent promo of Chicago Fire Season 13’s Episode 4 has left fans concerned about Violet Mikami’s future on the show. In the preview, she makes a risky decision in a desperate attempt to save a patient’s life, which puts her job in jeopardy. This led many to speculate that similar to Damon, Hanako Greensmith’s character might also be written off and she might be leaving the show.
So, will Violet’s story come to an end in Chicago Fire Season 13? Here’s what we know.
Is Hanako Greensmith’s Violet Mikami leaving Chicago Fire Season 13?
The preview of Chicago Fire Season 13’s upcoming episode seemingly suggests Violet Mikami’s exit. However, neither the showrunners nor the actress has confirmed her departure.
Chicago Fire S13E04 titled “Through The Skin” promo just dropped and it doesn’t seem to go in Violet Mikami’s favor. In the clip, Violet, being a paramedic, makes an emergency call to deliver a baby without consulting anyone. She says that she will carry out a C-section on an 8-month-pregnant patient, who is in immense pain. However, she worries about what if things go wrong in the process.
Despite her doubt, she is seen slicing through the patient’s stomach. It remains unknown if the baby was delivered successfully or not. However, her EMS license gets suspended as shown in the promo. The shot then switches to an emotional Violet asking Pascal, “What do you think is going to happen to me?”
Reacting to the promo, fans have speculated that she might be exiting the show. Further, they have shared their theories on what storyline can be expected. Some suggest that perhaps the emergency C-section would have put the mother’s life at risk, leading to her suspension as she is not allowed to operate as a paramedic. Others hope that she stays in the series as she just tried to help out a pregnant woman in pain, though her way was dangerous.
Either way, her exit is not officially confirmed and could be mere speculation on the part of fans. Viewers will have to wait for the upcoming episode to premiere to know if she is being chopped off from the Firehouse roster or if they find a way to keep her.
