Has Apple TV+ Canceled Pachinko or Renewed it for Season 3?

Apple TV+’s drama series Pachinko Season 2 has received widespread critical acclaim and fans are wondering if it’ll be renewed for a Season 3. With the conclusion of Season 2, we’ve seen Solomon uncover the fate of a long-standing adversary. So, what exactly is the status of the show?

Here’s everything you need to know about Pachinko‘s future.

Is Pachinko canceled or renewed for Season 3 on Apple TV+?

Pachinko is neither canceled nor renewed for Season 3.

In Pachinko Season 2 finale, titled “Chapter Sixteen,” Solomon discovers what happened to a long-standing rival back in 1989. Simultaneously in 1951, we find Noa in a relationship with Anniko, the captivating young woman he first laid eyes on when he arrived at Waseda.

Season 2 takes viewers on an emotional rollercoaster through the lives of a Korean family over four generations, kicking off with their move to Japan before World War II. The story picks up in 1989 when Solomon is looking for a fresh start in Tokyo, while Sunja grapples with tough decisions to keep her family safe in Osaka during the war in 1945. With plenty of heartfelt reunions, the show keeps viewers glued to their screens.

During an interaction with TVLine, series creator Soo Hugh shared the latest update about the show. He said, “No, we haven’t started officially. When I pitched to Apple and the buyers now five, six years ago, I pitched the entire [three-season] storyline. But we’re waiting for news on Season 3 — it’s out of our hands — and we’re also celebrating Season 2, making sure we get to enjoy this.”

For now, fans can only wait keeping their fingers crossed, hoping that the production team of Pachinko Season 3 receives good news soon.

You can watch all Pachinko episodes from Seasons 1-2 on Apple TV+.
