Rumors have been circulating that Bravo has fired Andy Cohen. Now, fans are curious about the authenticity of these alleged reports. Cohen, an executive producer and host of The Real Housewives franchise, and Bravo faced shocking accusations of racism, sexism, a toxic work environment, and more. With many THR co-stars making serious allegations about Cohen, rumors about Cohen’s exit from Bravo are rife.
So, is Andy Cohen leaving Bravo or his talk show, Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen? Here are the details.
Has Andy Cohen been fired from Bravo and Watch What Happens Live?
The rumors are false. Bravo didn’t fire Cohen. He continues to work for the network and host Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
Earlier this year, an exclusive insider told InTouch Weekly that there are ongoing discussions around Cohen’s potential departure from the network. The outlet states, “Negotiations for Cohen’s departure package are underway as he grapples with the fallout from mounting accusations by his stars.” These reports have stirred discussions on the internet about Bravo cutting ties with Cohen.
These reports stem from the alleged claims made by two The Real Housewives franchise co-stars—Leah McSweeney and Brandey Glanville. In February, McSweeney filed a lawsuit against Cohen, accusing him of harassing, discriminating, and leveraging substance abuse to enhance ratings.
Glanville accused him of sexual harassment. Her legal team’s statement read, “Any boss who is clearly inebriated, encouraging their employee by Facetime video to watch their boss have sex with another employee, constitutes sexual harassment, plain and simple, under any definition even one concocted by NBC.” (via Entertainment Weekly)
Cohen refused to accept McSweeney’s claims. However, he apologized to Glanville via social media, deeming whatever he said was a joke. He said, “It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate, and I apologize.”
Cohen’s exit rumors have been surfacing like wildfire, and Brave has officially addressed them. Refuting the claims, a Bravo spokesperson told Deadline, “There is absolutely no truth to this story, and [the publication’s] source obviously has no clue about the situation.”
