Coachella 2025 is almost here, but the music event has seen its luster fade in recent years. This festival was once synonymous with star-studded lineups and unforgettable experiences. However, the rise of competing festivals has played a role in Coachella’s diminishing influence. Nonetheless, the recent rumor of Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna as headliners for next year has sparked renewed excitement and raised many eyebrows. Will this power duo be enough to reignite the Coachella magic, if at all the rumor is true?
Here’s everything you need to know about the music festival’s date and who is headlining the lineup.
When is Coachella 2025 taking place?
The annual festival is scheduled to take place across two weekends next year— April 11-13 and April 18-20.
However, competing festivals like Lollapalooza and ACL have recently contributed to Coachella’s declining influence. These festivals have successfully carved out their niches, offering unique experiences and diverse lineups that cater to specific audiences. Furthermore, soaring ticket prices have further fueled speculation about the festival’s waning popularity.
Who is headlining Coachella 2025?
Music industry titans Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna have turned down the opportunity to headline the 2025 Coachella Music Festival.

Past speculated headliners for the 2025 event have included Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK, Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, and Guns N’ Roses. Furthermore, the headliners for the 2024 edition were Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat.
Other notable 2024 acts included No Doubt, Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, ATEEZ, Peggy Gou, Young Miko, Sabrina Carpenter, Skepta, FLO, Tinashe, Suki Waterhouse, Chappell Roan, Chlöe, Ice Spice, Sublime, Bleachers, Grimes, Jon Batiste, LE SSERAFIM, Blxst, Kevin Abstract, RAYE, J Balvin, Jhené Aiko, Khruangbin, Lil Yachty, Reneé Rapp, Bebe Rexha, Coi Leray, NAV, Tems, and Victoria Monét.
