Lucas Coly passes away at 27, claims report
Hip-hop artist Lucas Coly has reportedly died at 27, according to a statement shared by his manager on Thursday, October 3. In an emotional Instagram post, the manager, who worked with Coly at I Discover Stars Entertainment, reportedly shared a photo of the rapper and wrote, “Rest in peace @iamlucascoly. I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there.” This post was later edited or deleted, leaving only a heart emoji, as per reports. (via US Magazine)
In a second Instagram post, the manager expressed his grief. He wrote, “Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here. There’s a hole in my heart right now Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans. So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other. I don’t know what to do now. I’d be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same.” Reportedly, this post was also later edited, and the manager’s identity has not been disclosed.
In another emotional post, the manager asked fans to keep Coly’s girlfriend, Amber, in their thoughts. The manager stated, “Amber will confirm the news when she is ready. Please give her time to process and heal.” This message, too, was reportedly deleted, leaving fans and followers speculating.
Before his reported passing, Coly shared a message on his Instagram Story that simply said, “I love y’all,” accompanied by an orange heart emoji. As of now, no official cause of death has been announced.
Visibly heartbroken, the manager appeared in a since-deleted third Instagram post, urging followers to “check on your loved ones” and revealing that his grief had left him devastated. He described Lucas Coly as more than just a client, saying, “Lucas was more of a brother to me than my client.”
