The creators of the Tumbbad have recently confirmed that a sequel is on the way. Sohum Shah, the leading star of the original movie as well as its producer, took to Instagram to share the news. In a collaborative post made on September 14, 2024, he shared a snippet of the trailer.
Shah and the creators have not confirmed an exact release date for Tumbbad 2. Although, many believe that the movie might arrive sometime in late 2025 or in 2026. This release window is a speculation based on the information at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, the sequel’s teaser promises yet another terrifying story. It features eerie frames and an ominous voiceover from the protagonist Vinayak Rao. On the other hand, his son, Pandurang, is seen crying inconsolably in front of his burning remains.
