Jennifer Aniston ‘Swatting’ Incident & Hoax Explained

In the most recent swatting incident, the LAPD was called to check up on none other than Jennifer Aniston. As such, fans are concerned about the well-being of the Hollywood A-lister. But did something actually happen to the veteran actress? If not, then why did the Los Angeles authorities engage in an abrupt patrolling at Aniston’s residence?

Here are all the available details regarding the much-discussed swatting incident with Jennifer Aniston.

What happened at Jennifer Aniston’s LA house?

On Friday evening, the Friends star was paid a surprise visit by police officials. The authorities had reportedly made the trip to check on the actress after receiving a concerning call from an unnamed male.

As reported by TMZ, the unidentified caller contacted the LA police on September 20 before stating that he was worried about the state of his friend. He shied away from revealing the identity of his supposed friend. Instead, the suspect simply said that his mate “wasn’t doing well” before providing the LAPD with Aniston’s address.

Unbeknownst to the nature of the swatting prank, the officials arrived at Jennifer Aniston’s residence shortly after the call was made. However, they were greeted by the security staff at the entrance, who were understandably surprised by their arrival. Only after interacting with the guards did the officers realize that they were actually standing at Aniston’s house. They subsequently had a brief conversation with the Hollywood veteran, who assured them of her well-being.

The LAPD later informed The Independent of the incident with Jennifer Aniston and confirmed that the “radio call was a swatting incident.” As such, the actress becomes the latest celebrity to end up at the receiving end of a swatting prank. Other stars to have shared a similar fate include Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Nicki Minaj.

At the time of writing, the LA officials have yet to uncover the identity of the hoax caller.
