Rumors about comedian and actor Sacha Baron Cohen’s casting as Mephisto have circulated since 2022. In Agatha All Along Episode 3, fans heard the demonic entity’s name, raising speculation about whether Baron Cohen will debut as the character in the series.

Will Sacha Baron Cohen appear as Mephisto in Agatha All Along?
As of Episode 3 of Agatha All Along, Marvel hasn’t confirmed or denied Baron Cohen’s involvement as Mephisto in the Disney Plus series. However, it remains a possibility.
Before WandaVision premiered on January 15, 2021, and during its run, fans speculated heavily about Mephisto’s appearance due to his connection with Scarlet Witch and the series narrative. Although that didn’t happen, rumors began in 2022 that Baron Cohen had been cast as Mephisto for the upcoming MCU series Ironheart.
A month later, Dominique Thorne, who portrays Riri Williams/Ironheart, addressed Cohen’s potential involvement in an interview with ComicBook.com. “Oh man, the series is on its way,” she said, skillfully avoiding a direct answer. “We just finished filming on November 2, and I think there’s a lot for fans to sink their teeth into, especially if they enjoyed what they saw of Riri Williams in a world that was not her own. They might be in for a good time stepping into a world that is her own.”
In September 2023, a copyright filing from Marvel Studios confirmed Baron Cohen’s casting in Ironheart, though it referred to his character as “Mystery Man.” Now that the MCU has mentioned Mephisto, Cohen could either make a cameo or have a significant appearance in Agatha All Along.
Notably, Jennifer Kale speculates that Agatha’s son may have become an Agent of Mephisto after Agatha traded him for the Book of the Damned or the Darkhold.Even if this speculation proves untrue, it still creates a link between Mephisto and Agatha.
While Cohen’s role in Agatha All Along remains uncertain, it is clear that the series has acknowledged the character’s existence. He may or may not have filmed a cameo or a more substantial role in the finale. For now, this remains purely speculative.
