Slow Horses is back with a fourth installment showcasing the return of MI5 agents. While the new season is grabbing eyeballs, fans have started recalling the character of Sid Baker played by Olivia Cooke. So, did Sid die in Slow Horses, or is there more to her story?

Does Sid die in Slow Horses?
Yes, Sid died in Slow Horses Season 1.
The character saw a rather quick ending when she got shot in Season 1 episode 2 by a masked man. The unknown man was supporting a right-wing journalist named Robert Hobden on whom she was keeping an eye. Subsequently, Sid falls into a critical condition leaving her team members worried. Further, in episode 5 it is revealed that she passed away after succumbing to her wounds in the hospital bed.
However, the twist is Sid’s dead body was never shown which led to viewers speculating that she might be alive. Additionally, her entry into M15 as a disgraced agent was another mystery as to how she made it to the agency’s dumping ground. Further, at the end of the first season, all of her information was removed from existence with M15 stating she was never a part of the team. Thus, Sid’s death continues to remain a mystery in the Slow Horses with fans hoping for answers in the ongoing season.
Will Sid return in Slow Horses Season 4?
As of now, Sid’s return looks uncertain in Slow Horses Season 4 given her presumed death.
While Sid has been declared dead on the show, the mystery around death raises hopes for her return. The series is based on Mick Herron’s Slough House novels, and in Book 7, titled The Drop, Sid is revealed to have survived her injuries and was hidden away in a Secret Service facility in Northern England. Currently, the series is adapting the events of Spook Street, and the next book, London Rules, hints at Sid’s possible return. So, if the show continues to closely follow the novel, Sid is likely to return in future seasons. Earlier, Jack Lowden’s River Cartwright too returned after faking his death for a mission. Thus, viewers can expect a similar comeback for Sid but they must wait for confirmation from the makers.
