Adult film star Jay Hefner’s recent death at the young age of 24 has greatly shocked people. As such, they are curious about his cause of his untimely demise. Jay Hefner dead at 24, claims report
Jay Hefner, aka Saiveon Hopkins passed away at the age of 24 on September 8, 2024.
As per a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for his family, Hefner died after being shot in an act of “senseless gun violence” while trying to protect his cousin in Lincoln, Nebraska. Hefner had arrived in the city for a family celebration and was scheduled to return to Ontario, Canada following the weekend.
Kyra Miller, a close friend of the late Jay Hefner’s mother Jeni Brown, wrote, “It’s never easy to lose a loved one but losing a child is the most painful loss one can ever experience.” She also said Hefner had been a “shining light” who had been there for everyone who loved him. This included his 10-month old daughter, who deeply loved him and his terminally ill mother, whom he helped raise his siblings.
A press release from the Lincoln government confirmed Hefner’s death happened at around 5:37 AM. The site also confirmed that the Lincoln Police Department had been investigating three separate shootings, including the aforementioned shooting that claimed Hefner’s life. However, the press release refused to disclose his identity at the time.
Eventually, 1011 News identified and disclosed Jay Hefner’s identity, hours later. His girlfriend Madeline Murchisonn was greatly devastated by his death. She shared a heartfelt and emotional tribute on Instagram, addressing all the good qualities she found in Hefner. Murchisonn had also taken to her stories to express her sadness and grief at his passing.
Following Jay Hefner’s demise, multiple tributes poured in from various fans and other adult film stars. This was after his cousin shared the link to a GoFundMe page supporting his family via X (formerly Twitter).
