Bad Monkey Episode 5 Ending Explained & Recap: Where Are Nick & Eve Going?

Bad Monkey Episode 5 is now available on Apple TV Plus, and viewers want to know how it ends and where Nick and Eve are going. The series reveals key components of the central mystery pretty early. But, by focusing a considerable part of the narrative on the supposed antagonist, it manages to hold a sense of suspense throughout the first five episodes, even though it’s not a whodunnit.

Titled “That Damn Arm Is Back,” the episode follows Yancy (Vince Vaughn) as he survives Nick / Christopher’s (Rob Delaney) attempt to take his life but becomes a wanted man. Meanwhile, following his confrontation with Egg in the previous episode, a desperate Neville (Ronald Peet) reaches out to an old flame. Bonnie (Michelle Monaghan) realizes that she can no longer live a life on the run and returns to the Keys.

Here is everything that happens at the end of Bad Monkey Episode 5.

What happens at the end of Bad Monkey Episode 5?

Nick tries to murder Yancy by dropping him into the ocean and making it look like an accident. Unfortunately for him, the plan doesn’t work, and Yancy wakes up the following day in the property beside his home, bickers with the realtor in front of his potential clients, and finds the phone Nick accidentally left behind. He goes to speak to Rosa and discovers that Mendez is looking for him as a suspect in Israel’s murder.

Rosa takes Yancy to her parents’ home so he can lay low for a while, but her mother forces him to leave. Unable to access Nick’s phone, Yancy digs up Nick’s severed arm to get his fingerprint. Rosa arrives and berates him for leaving her behind. They share a kiss and flee as police officers fill the graveyard.

With Egg looking for him, Neville contacts a former romantic partner so she can get him in front of her boss, the chief councilor, and he can hand over the USB device containing information about all of Nick’s indiscretions. However, it turns out the woman is in league with Egg. Neville manages to escape but loses the USB device.

After her cards stop working, a panicking Bonnie returns to the Keys and moves into Yancy’s home. Toward the end of the episode, her past catches up to her when the boy she purportedly had sex with when he was in high school shows up.

Where are Nick and Eve going?

Nick and Eve are permanently shifting to Andros, the archipelago within the Bahamas that serves as the secondary setting of the narrative. Before leaving, Eve and Nick visit Caitlin, apparently to say goodbye. Caitlin had told her husband that Nick was alive, bought expensive furniture, and planned to visit her father in the future. Eve decides that it’s time to confront Caitlin and show her who Nick values most. She threatens to murder Caitlin, and Nick doesn’t say a thing, despite his daughter’s request to step in.

Yancy and Rosa figure out which airport Eve and Nick are using. However, Nick and Eve manage to escape, though not before Yancy lets Eve know that he is alive, despite what Nick told her.
