Netflix K-Dramas, Movies & Shows in September 2024

Netflix is all set to bring out an interesting lineup of K-dramas, movies, and shows in September 2024. The streaming platform recently announced the list of Korean content coming to viewers in the upcoming month and has already raised a lot of expectations among fans. Fans can choose from different genres, with the shows featuring well-known and globally loved celebrities from different industries.

September 2024 will see the arrival of K-dramas like Poong – The Joseon Psychiatrist and the highly-awaited Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 on Netflix. Meanwhile, Kim Woo-Bin will enthrall viewers in the new action comedy movie Officer Black Belt. Lastly, renowned Chef Paik Jong-Won will appear in the new variety cooking competition Culinary Class Wars. Check out more details about these shows below.

Poong – The Joseon Psychiatrist

Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist is a popular K-drama that premiered on August 1, 2022, and now arrives on the global streaming platform Netflix. The series features the story of Yoo Se-Poong (Kim Min-Jae), a legendary physical known for his abilities. However, the royal court expels him after discovering his involvement in a conspiracy against the royal family. He begins to work in a village, where he meets Doctor Kye Ji-Han (Kim Sang-Kyung), who changes his life. The drama also features village resident and widow Seo Eun-Woo (Kim Hyang-Gi).

Gyeongseong Creature Part 2

The highly-awaited Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 will premiere on Friday, September 27, 2024, streaming exclusively on Netflix. After Part 1, which premiered last year, grew to a resounding success, fans have been eagerly waiting for the second installment. For the same, the drama will travel to present-day Korea in terms of its storyline. It will follow Chae-Ok’s (Han So-Hee) encounter with Ho-Jae (Park Seo-Joon) in the new world. The series also features new cast members Bae Hyeon-Seong and Lee Moo-Saeng.

Officer Black Belt

Officer Black Belt marks the appearance of popular actor Kim Woo-Bin. The action comedy film will premiere on Netflix on Friday, September 13, 2024. It follows the story of a martial arts officer, Lee Jung-Do (Woo-Bin), who unites with probation officer Kim Sun-Min (Kim Sung-Kyun) to fight and prevent crimes from taking place. Together, they monitor people wearing electronic anklets to ensure nothing bad happens. As per Netflix, the movie will run for 107 minutes, giving fans some action, thrill, and entertainment.

Culinary Class Wars

Culinary Class Wars is Netflix’s first-ever Korean culinary reality show that will premiere on September 17, 2024. The series features 100 talented chefs going head-to-head in an intense culinary battle. Among the contestants will be hidden masters, also known as black-spoons, who will challenge the star chefs or white spoons. Meanwhile, renowned Chef Paik Jong-Won and Chef Anh Sung-Jae of the three-starred Mosu Seoul restaurant will be the judges of the competition. More details about the contestants remain unknown as of this writing.

Furthermore, ongoing K-dramas Love Next Door and Romance in the House will continue to stream their episodes in September 2024 on Netflix. Love Next Door, starring Jung Hae-In and Jung So-Min as leads follows the journey of two childhood friends. They reunite as adults and reflect on their shared memories and ultimately fall in love.

Meanwhile, Romance in the House features an estranged couple, where the man returns as a millionaire to reunite with his family. While the son supports the family reunion, the daughter is completely against it, owing to her broken relationship with her father and witnessing her mother’s emotional state due to his troubles.
