Patrick Mahomes recently opened up about his thoughts on Taylor Swift and her love for football in an interview.

In conversation with NBC sports analyst Chris Simms, Mahomes revealed a few details about Taylor Swiftā€™s interest in football. During the interview, which is currently available in full on YouTube, Simms asked him whether he notices a different when he goes ā€œout thereā€ after Taylor Swiftā€™s arrival into the football world.

To this, Mahomes replied, ā€œI think itā€™s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football. And I know, being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see these little girls, these daughters, and how much theyā€™re loving and spending time with their dad watching football.ā€

Further, he explained how meeting Taylor made him realize how ā€œgenuine and coolā€ she is. He went on to say that meeting her was really special, especially because sheā€™s the most famous person in the world.

What intrigued fans the most was his mention of Swiftā€™s interest in football. ā€œShe asks a lot of great questions. Sheā€™s already drawn a play, so we might have to put one in,ā€ Mahomes added.

The Kansas City Chiefs picked Mahomes in the 2017 NFL draft as the 10th overall pick. After spending time in his rookie season as a backup for Alex Smith, he went on to lead the Chiefs to four Super Bowl appearances as a starting quarterback. In 2020, he signed a 10-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, which was the fourth-largest known contract in history.
