What happened to the exes from Netflix’s Worst Ex Ever?

The following are the fates of each of the exes: Benjamin Foster, Jerry Ramrattan, Rosa Hill, and Kevin Lewis, as seen in Netflix’s Worst Ex Ever.

Benjamin Foster

Benjamin Foster’s actions are addressed in the docuseries’ first episode “Dating the Devil.” The episode opens with his horrendous assault on girlfriend Justine Siemens. After assaulting her, Foster went on the run from authorities in early 2023. According to NBC News, he subsequently killed two elderly people after holding them hostage. Foster then returned to Grant Pass, Oregon, which was Siemens’ residential area.

Believing Benjamin Foster was there, the police arrived at Justine Siemens’ house, only to fail. They then conducted a second round of searching to eventually locate an access point below the house. When the police took off the floorboards, they found Foster with a gunshot wound in his head. He had allegedly attempted suicide to avoid getting caught and imprisoned. While he was breathing when found, he was pronounced dead in the hospital.

Jerry Ramrattan

Jerry Ramrattan is the focus of the second episode, “Betrayed by the Badge.” This episode set in 2010, details his relationship with Seemona Sumasar, who believed his claims of being a cop and detective for Brooklyn’s DA office. She eventually learned Ramrattan lied to her and confronted him, resulting in him sexually assaulting her.

Consequently, Sumasar pressed charges against Ramrattan, leading to an upcoming trial. However, two months before the trial, she was arrested and taken to Long Island. Sumasar was shocked at being accused of impersonating a cop and a robbery at gunpoint. She believed Jerry Ramrattan set her up to get arrested in order to discredit her at the sexual assault trial.

Luckily, Seemona Sumasar eventually got fortune on her side, when Ramrattan was discovered to be the mastermind behind her false arrest. He was then subsequently arrested and in 2012, he was convicted of multiple crimes. The charges included first-degree rape, first-degree perjury, fifth-degree conspiracy, third-degree tampering with witness, and third-degree false reporting of an incident.

After being convicted, Jerry Ramrattan was sentenced to 32 years in prison. According to Today, he will be eligible for parole by 2031.

Rosa Hill

The focus of Episode 3 “Killing For Custody,” is Rosa Hill’s troubled marriage with Eric Hill. Sometime after their marriage and the birth of their daughter, she threw him out of their house. As the couple engaged in a custody battle for the child, Eric was forced to move in with his grandmother, Sally.

In 2009, when Eric and his daughter arrived at Sally’s house, Rosa and her mother Mei quickly attacked him with a baton and locked the child in the bathroom. Eric was eventually threatened with a gun and moved around, trying to avoid being shot.

When the police arrived, they handcuffed everyone, unaware of Rosa’s actions. However, soon, Sally was discovered dead in her house’s shed. It was revealed that Rosa and Mei planned Operation Custody to gain custody of Eric’s daughter by murdering Sally, pinning the blame on him, and hoping he would commit suicide.

As per CBS News, Rosa was eventually found guilty of her crimes and sentenced to 25 years of life in prison after being charged with Sally’s murder and Eric’s attempted murder. Meanwhile, Mei was also charged with premeditated and attempted murder and is also serving a life sentence. Official records state that Rosa and Mei will be eligible for parole in 2029.

Kevin Lewis

The focus of Episode 4, “Married to a Monster,” is Kevin Lewis, who married Amanda Canales and started a family with her. However, the relationship took a gruesome turn after he assaulted her, shocking the latter’s family. Canales did not press charges the first time.

However, after a second assault at Lewis’ hands, Canales pressed charges. She soon maintained custody of their children and he was forced to pay spousal support. The situation got worse in 2017, when her sister Alisha was shot outside her home and subsequently died.

It was revealed that Kevin Lewis had plotted Amanda Canales’ murder and hired his cousin Jerradon Phelps and the latter’s girlfriend, Alexis Hale, to kill her. Albeit, she was out of town and the two killed Alisha instead. Phelps and Hale were soon charged with aggravated first-degree murder with firearm and conspiracy to commit murder. (via CBS News)

Lewis was also charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and solicitation to commit murder. He is now serving a life sentence in prison.
