It is currently unknown if Bobby Nash will become the captain of Station 118 in 9-1-1 Season 8. The situation will be more clear once the new season drops.
As per Soaps, a recent TikTok video seems to suggest Nash may resume his old position of captain. This video uploaded by star Aisha Hinds showed the cast and production assistant Allison Carr dancing to “Apple.”
In the video, the cast were all dressed in their Station 118 uniforms, including Krause’s Nash, who was standing right in the middle, just behind Carr. Why did Peter Krause’s Bobby Nash resign and quit 118 in 9-1-1 Season 7?
Peter Krause’s Bobby Nash resigned and quit Station 118 out of overwhelming guilt after meeting Amir, a survivor from an apartment fire Nash inadvertently caused many years ago, which also claimed the lives of Nash’s wife and two children. Amir held a grudge against Bobby for causing that fire.
The backstory of the fire caused by Nash is explored in Season 2 Episode 16 titled Bobby Begins Again.
Athena, Bobby’s current wife eventually suspected Bobby’s resignation had more to it. Shen then brought Amir to their home to mend things between him and Bobby. However, Amir soon acted very hostile toward Bobby. Eventually, Bobby and Athena had a big argument. In the argument, she expressed her fear of Bobby giving up and contemplating suicide.
However, after nearly losing his life in a fire set in his and Angela’s house, and eventually recovering, Bobby is filled with a new sense of purpose and decides to return to Station 118. However, he is shocked when he sees Vincent Gerrard having assumed his position.
