We All Lie
This thriller Chinese drama will premiere on August 29, 2024. It can be streamed throughout the week on Youku. The show revolves around the life of Su Li (He Hong Shan), a renowned screenwriter. On the surface, she has a wonderful and loyal husband and is happily married. However, her world turns upside down when one day, she gets an anonymous message telling her that her husband, Zhang Shu Heng (Li Zi Feng), has been cheating on her with her best friend.
After confirming that it’s true, she falls into depression. Fueled by the pain and hatred of such a betrayal, she divorces him. However, she then discovers that he has no assets. To avoid giving him half her net worth, she decides to postpone the divorce, but she is desperate to seek revenge.
Go East (Ep 13-24)
iQIYI recently released historical romance Chinese drama Go East will air 12 new episodes this week. The drama will continue to follow four young individuals, Yuan Mo (Tan Jianci), A Shu (Zhou Yiran), Yu Chu Hua (Adi Kan), and Wang Kun Wu (Du Chun), who team up for the sake of the nation.
The four individuals come from different backgrounds. One is a refugee, while another is a noblewoman. They all live in the peaceful Daming Dynasty. However, these four people decide to team up when diplomatic matters become more complex and threaten the kingdom’s peace. The Chinese drama is available to stream on iQIYI.
Melody of Golden Age (Ep 5-15)
An adaptation of Feng Huang Xi’s web novel Chang An Tong Que Ming, the story follows Yan Xing (Ancy Deng), the daughter of a concubine of the prestigious Yan family. Since she was trained from a young age by the Ministry of Justice’s chief inspector, she has exceptional investigative skills and a unique ability to solve complex cases.
She becomes a female official in the Ministry of Justice who is determined to uphold justice and punish the guilty. However, when her third sister flees from an imperial marriage arranged by the empress, Yan Xing is forced to marry in her place to protect the family name. At this point, she joins hands with her new husband, Shen Du (Ding Yuxi), the head of the imperial guard, to investigate strange cases that take place around the kingdom.
Burning Love (Ep 13- 20)
This Chinese drama is nearing its finale, which will come out on September 3, 2024. The drama is available to stream throughout the week on Sohu TV. The series tells the story of Xie Lan Qin (Xu Jiaqi), who misunderstands the love of her life, Feng Yan (Li Zhuoyang). She thinks that he caused a family crisis. As such, she pushes him away, turns vengeful, and strives to seek justice.
Soon after, she eventually realizes that Feng Yan has always protected her from a distance. Even after their relationship reaches a dead end, he does not give up on her. Realizing the mistake, Xie Lan Qin vows to make amends and pursue her old love. Moreover, she becomes desperate to gain his trust back.
Other than these, Escape from the Trilateral Slopes and Dawn Is Breaking will release their final episodes on August 29 and September 1. Adventures behind the Close Door, Counter Attack Bestowed Favor, Love in Ordinary, and Tibetan Sea Flower, among others, will continue their weekly run.
