Amazon Prime Video Schedule August 26-September 1 2024: New TV Shows & Movies Being Added

Amazon Prime Video’s schedule of new TV and movie releases for August 26-September 1, 2024, includes The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 and the Korean comedy-drama series No Gain No Love.

On Monday, August 26, the Korean comedy-drama series No Gain No Love drops on Amazon Prime Video. The story follows Son Hae-yeong, a young woman who has faced multiple losses and is eager for a promotion at work. To achieve this, she convinces Kim Ji-uk, a noble and helpful convenience store employee from her neighborhood, to enter into a fake marriage with her.

The cast for this series includes Shin Min-a, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, Han Ji-hyun, Jeon Hye-won, and Lee You-jin.

Then, on August 29, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 premieres on Amazon Prime Video. This season will focus on Sauron, following his defeat and banishment by Galadriel at the end of Season 1. Sauron, now without an army or allies, uses his intelligence and cunning to forge the Rings of Power again. This follows Galadriel’s thwarting of his plot in the previous season.

John D. Payne and Patrick McKay created The Rings of Power. This series acts as a prequel to The Lord of the Rings novel and is set 100 years before the book’s events. The cast includes Morfydd Clark, Charlie Vickers, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, and Ismael Cruz Córdova, among others.
