NCT star Jaehyun will finally make his solo debut. The K-pop heartthrob’s music label agency, SM Entertainment, has shared the upcoming project J’s release date, time, and debut schedule.
Previously, Jaehyun has released several heart-wrenching singles, including “Try Again,” “Forever Only,” “Horizon,” and “Lost.” His song, “Forever Only,” ranked on Billboard’s US World Chart at number 14.

NCT Jaehyun’s debut album, J, will be dropped on August 26 at 6 p.m. KST, 5 a.m. ET, 2.30 p.m. IST, 2 a.m. PT, 10 a.m. BST, 11 a.m. CET, and 5 p.m. in Philippines time. Fans can pre-order the album from the official SM Entertainment website.
What to expect from NCT Jaehyun’s debut solo album?
Jaehyun’s debut album, J, will have eight tracks, including the title song, “Smoke.” The agency teased, “The album is filled with diverse colored music that will be presented through Jaehyun’s sensibility.”
SM Entertainment further revealed how Jaehyun participated and chose the album’s themes. The label noted: “For this album, Jaehyun not only participated in writing lyrics and composing but also came up with the direction of the work and the album’s title himself. Inspired by his habit of writing his initial ‘J’ on his personal belongings, he named the album ‘J’ to express that it reflects him to the fullest.”

Meanwhile, the K-pop star shared the “Dandelion & Roses” track on August 12 at 6 p.m. KST and 5 a.m. ET. Jaehyun’s sultry vocals and cinematic MV of the pre-released track crossed over 69k views within an hour of the release.
After the release of the first single, expectations for the upcoming album have increased tenfold. The pre-released track shows Jaehyun’s maturity and evolution as a songwriter. The album will also show Jaehyun’s diverse tonality as a vocalist.
