Kim You-Jung’s Dear X K-drama has announced the full cast lineup. The upcoming TVING series will feature Sh**ting Stars actor Kim Young-Dae as the male lead. In the thriller drama, the pair will not likely have a romantic storyline like their previous rom-com shows.
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Dear X tells the story of A-list actress, Baek A-Jin. In front of people, she is beautiful with a strong personality and a kind heart. A-Jin has received accolades and awards throughout her acting career and maintains a perfect celebrity image.
One day, her life turns upside down when the news discloses A-Jin’s dark side. It appears she hides a different personality behind her public image.

TVING announced the full cast line-up of Kim You-Jung’s Dear X K-drama on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Aside from her, the series also stars Kim Young-Dae, Kim Do-Hoon, and Lee Yeol-Eum.
ET News reported the lead pair’s thoughts on their upcoming thriller K-drama. My Demon actress said, “As I read the original work and the script and got to know the characters living in the work, this work felt more appealing.” Further, Young-Dae mentioned, “I will do my best with a sense of responsibility and prepare to show good acting.”
You-Jung plays Baek A-Jin, a top-tier actress with a strong personality and gorgeous features. But behind the beautiful face lies a dark secret, which comes out in the open. Young-Dae essays the role of Yoon Jun-Seo. He has always been by her side, even if it means taking the wrong path.
Do-Hoon plays Kim Jae-Oh, who will connect with A-Jin’s dark side. He will understand and support her. Furthermore, Yeol-Eum essays the role of Lena, an idol and actress. The optimistic goal has a huge crush on Jun-Seo.
Meanwhile, Dear X is directed by filmmaker Lee Eun-Bok. He is known for his work in dramas like Sweet Home, Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, and Descendants of the Sun. The upcoming series will premiere in 2025 on TVING.
