Talented basketball players from a Native American reservation, give their all to lead their team to victory following the loss of their key player.
Directed by Sydney Freeland, the movie follows Chuska Warriors, a high school basketball team from New Mexico, that boasts a lineup of gifted Native American players. When they lose their star player, all hopes of winning the state championship seem like a distant dream. However, the team becomes determined to stand against all odds and take their place at the top. The movie is inspired by the book Canyon Dreams: A Basketball Season on the Navajo Nation penned by Michael Powell.
