Women in Blue Episode 3 Ending Explained & Recap: What happened?

Women in Blue Episode 4 is now available for streaming on Apple TV Plus, and fans want to know what happens to Octavio and if Tito killed Paola. The Mexican-Spanish language series takes place in the early ’70s and tells the story of a group of four women newly inducted into the police force as a part of a seemingly groundbreaking initiative.

However, these women soon realize that they are meant to be nothing more than a publicity stunt to distract the people from the murders committed by a serial killer known as The Undresser. In episode 3, titled “Norma,” Maria and her colleagues realize that there have been discrepancies in the police investigation of Paola’s death and continue to look into the matter. Meanwhile, Octavio faces downright hostility from several members of the Herrera family, and Alejandro asks his wife to go to dinner with him at his boss’ home.

Here is what happens at the end of Women in Blue Episode 3.

Did Tito kill Paola in Women in Blue?

No, Tito did not kill Paola in Women in Blue.

He wasn’t the Undresser and didn’t commit the other murders as well. Maria and the others go to speak to Tito’s mother and discover that as a child, Tito was kicked in the head by a horse and was subsequently diagnosed with irreparable damage to his cerebellum. It rendered him incapable of the crimes he had been accused of committing.

Moreover, Angeles discovers that Tito’s fingerprints weren’t present on the bodies of the other victims. And although there were multiple fingerprints on Paola’s body, none of them were on her neck, wrists, or ankles. Despite that, she was tied up and strangled. They deduce that Tito likely left his prints on Paola’s arm while trying to figure out if she was alive.

When Maria and the others approach Gerardo with this information, he initially seems receptive but soon starts mocking them and declares that he will charge them with insubordination. This prompts Octavio to step in and convince Gerardo not to do it by threatening to quit the force.

What happens to Octavio at the end of Women in Blue Episode 3?

Octavio Romandia is a former police officer whom Escobedo brings back into the police force to lead the female division. He is generally disliked by other police officers because of his past, and his new post only makes things worse for him. In this episode, he fails to convince Commander Herrera to assign a separate space for the female officers.

Soon after Commander Herrera refuses, he gets a call from Escobedo, who effectively instructs him to allocate a room for the women. This prompts Gerardo and Giberto to beat up Octavio and warn him to never undermine their father’s (Commander Herrera) authority again.

However, Octavio might not be the one who informed Escobedo about Commander Herrera’s initial decision. It seems when the Herrera brothers approach him, Octavio at first thinks that it’s for the perceived insubordination committed by Maria and her colleagues and tries to reassure Gilberto that he has already spoken to the women.

Another important development in this episode happens with Alejandro and Maria. They go to the home of Alejandro’s boss, Mrs. Cabos, with the hopes that Alejandro will get a promotion. Despite the recent changes in his personality, Alejandro is a product of his society. Before going in, he asks his wife not to reveal the fact that she is a police officer to Mrs. Cabos and his wife.

However, Maria ultimately does tell Mrs. Cabos. When Alejandro learns about this, he becomes livid and angrily walks out of his and Maria’s bedroom to sleep elsewhere in their home. Cracks in their relationship already started to form due to Alejandro’s infidelity. The latest incident is only going to make them deeper and more expansive.
