Netflix‘s new TV and movie releases for August 5-11, 2024, include The Umbrella Academy Season 4 and Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba.
Starting Thursday, August 8, The Umbrella Academy Season 4 drops on Netflix. This final season of the superhero series, which began streaming in 2019, follows the Hargreeves siblings as they navigate a new timeline. After losing their powers at the end of Season 3 and splitting up, they reunite to regain their abilities and confront a new multiversal conflict. Additionally, they must deal with their father, Reginald, who is now alive in the new timeline and running an evil business empire.
On August 9, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba premieres on Netflix. This film is a sequel to 2021’s Haseen Dillruba. The story follows Rani and Rishu as they evade the police in Agra while planning to run away together. When complications arise, Rani seeks help from a mild-mannered man who is infatuated with her.
Also releasing on Netflix this week are the films Reminiscence and Night School.
Reminiscence is a sci-fi mystery thriller featuring Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson. The story follows a private investigator who specializes in helping clients retrieve lost memories and finds himself entangled in a complex and shady situation after taking on a new client.
Meanwhile, Night School, starring Kevin Hart, centers on a high school dropout and successful salesman studying to earn his GED after dramatically changing his life by blowing up his workplace. He soon clashes with his night school teacher, who has a poor opinion of him, and his principal, a former classmate who holds a grudge against him.
