Miss Night and Day’s Choi Jin-Hyuk is a K-drama actor who has starred in many popular shows. Originally, he was called Kim Tae-Ho and made his debut in dramas in 2010 with a SBS series, It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl. The latter finds him attracted to Mi-Jin, whom he mostly meets during the evening. Will he find out her secret? The K-drama airs on JTBC and Netflix on weekends.
Mr. Queen
Mr. Queen is a romance comedy gender-swap drama starring Shin Hye-Sun and Kim Jung-Hyun in lead roles. In the 2020 K-drama, someone tries to kill a renowned chef, Jang Bong-Hwan. When he drowns in a swimming pool, he wakes up in the Joseon era in the body of a female. Now, he has become Queen Kim So-Yong. Things become chaotic in the kingdom when a shy and vulnerable So-Yong turns into a rebellious, shameless, and loud queen.
Streaming on Netflix, the synopsis reads, “After waking up in the body of a 19th-century queen, a chef must navigate the royal court and find a way back to the present — and his own life.” Choi Jin-Hyuk plays a talented chef in the series.
Tunnel
Tunnel (2017) is one of Choi Jin-Hyuk’s dramas, in which he plays an enthusiastic detective, Park Gwang-Ho, from 1986. While investigating a serial homicide case, he transports to the present year (2017). He encounters a prestigious detective, Kim Sun-Jae, who helps him solve the mystery. They also seek the help of psychology professor Shin Jae-Yi.

Zombie Detective
Zombie Detective is a 2020 series starring Jin-Hyuk and Park Ju-Hyun. Its official synopsis reads, “The drama is a ‘human comedy’ about a zombie in his second year of resurrection who becomes a detective in pursuit of his past, all the while doing his best to coexist with humans.” Jin-Hyuk plays Kim Moo-Young/Kang Min-Ho and Ju-Hyun plays Gong Sun-Ji. Gu Family Book
Gu Family Book is a 2013 K-drama about a half-man, half-fox nobleman Choi Kang-Chi (Lee Seung-Gi). He is in search of the Gu Family Book that will help him become fully human. The drama also stars Bae Suzy in the lead role while Jin-Hyuk plays Gu Wol-Ryung, Kang-Chi’s father. The fantasy romance series consists of 24 episodes and is available on Viki, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV.
