List of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 265 spoilers
Yuji talks about his childhood in his domain
Yuji and Sukuna are walking through a city. Sukuna realizes what’s happening, which is a rare occurrence when Yuji connects with a sorcerer during battle. He asks Yuji if they are really in his domain, and Yuji says he wants to chat with Sukuna. Yuji starts talking to Sukuna about his childhood and being born in Sendai. He also talks about returning to attend the funeral of his grandfather’s friend.
Yuji and Sukuna end up at a park where Yuji used to play. Yuji mentions that he bumped his toe on a swing. He sees a flower and calls it an asagao (morning glory), then Sukuna corrects him saying it’s an ajisai (hydrangea). Yuji was surprised to find out Sukuna knew about flowers’ names. Sukuna tells him it’s likely from Megumi’s memories. Yuji realizes Sukuna probably knows about the places he’s talking about after being in his body. Sukuna says it’s a waste to read useless memories.
They start catching crawfish and they argue over who caught the better crawfish. Yuji talks about a department store and how the area is in the countryside. They end up in a field and Yuji mentions how green the field is. He also talks about catching locusts and comments on horses and how his grandfather used to take him to a farm. He says his grandfather’s actions were as if he was his real parent.
They switch to doing archery and Sukuna shoots a bullseye. Yuji is surprised, and Sukuna says he’s more experienced than Yuji. It starts snowing and Yuji talks about shoveling and drinking hot milk tea. He says one time during Christmas, he heard bells and thought Santa existed, but it was just the sound of chains on a car.
Yuji discusses the meaning of life and threatens Sukuna
Sukuna is getting tired of Yuji rambling and tells him to get to the point. Yuji says he used to think that understanding and fulfilling his role is the meaning of life, and when he dies fulfilling this role, he would’ve died the right way. However, he feels different now. He says the value of someone’s life is in the pieces of floating memories and he couldn’t forgive those who ignore that value.
Yuji says he could be wrong, but he wanted Sukuna to know about the other people he couldn’t see value in besides himself. Sukuna gets what Yuji’s saying but he doesn’t feel anything.
Sukuna realizes that Yuji’s trying to be sympathetic towards him. Yuji has a serious look in his eyes and tells Sukuna that he has the ability to kill him, so if he releases Megumi and returns to Yuji’s body, he’ll spare him. Sukuna’s outraged by Yuji’s threat and says he’ll kill everyone that he cares for and values in front of him.
JJK is on break next week due to a holiday in Japan.
