No Way Out: The Roulette Episode 2 Recap & Spoilers 

No Way Out: The Roulette episode 2 aired on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, on Disney Plus. Starring Yoo Jae-Myung and Jo Jin-Woong, the mystery thriller K-drama centers around a police officer protecting a murderer with a bounty on his head.

In the previous episode, police officer Baek Joong-Sik (Jo Jin-Woong) was on the verge of losing his house after being scammed. While investigating a peculiar case, he found a bag with a logo filled with cash, which he took to save his house, intending to bury the case. However, the bag turned out to be something big as the logo was related to a masked online streamer. Towards the end, the culprit played his “Spin the Roulette” game and announced the next target — murderer Kim Guk-Ho.

The No Way Out: The Roulette episode 2 begins with the introduction of Guk-Ho, a serial rapist who killed his last victim. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison but served 13 years due to good behavior. Guk-Ho is set to be released in three days but has a bounty on his head. 

What happens in No Way Out: The Roulette Episode 2? 

In No Way Out: The Roulette episode 2, the masked man’s announcement of killing Guk-Ho for 20 billion won put the police in a tough spot. Now, they have to protect a murderer and also control the public. On the other hand, Guk-Ho behaves like a good person in prison who has done volunteer work in prison. It appears the cops try to find reasons to protect a criminal.

Joong-Sik and his team arrive at the prison to escort him out on his release day. Guk-Ho initially doesn’t understand why a team of police officers wants to send him to his house securely. Joong-Sik informs him that a huge crowd outside wants to kill him. Confused, Guk-Ho argues that he has served his sentence. However, the cops do not tell the real reason and look frustrated in following the order to protect a criminal.

Did Yoo Jae-Myung reach his home safely?

After a lot of struggle, the cops escort Guk-Ho out of the prison. He then learns about the bounty and why people want to kill him. Meanwhile, the case becomes national news, with judges and prosecutors giving their opinions about the offender’s protection. Once Guk-Ho reaches home, he puts on an innocent face and apologizes to the victims in front of the cameras. In reality, he has displayed his evil side to the cops.

While Guk-Ho has been put under house arrest, Joong-Sik faces a big problem. Chang-Jae is caught looking for the bag of cash near the police officer’s car.

No Way Out: The Roulette episode 2 further shows Guk-Ho giving a hard time to Joong-Sik and his team. The criminal gets drunk and starts creating a ruckus. The cop rushes to Guk-Ho’s home to tackle him.

Meanwhile, the mother of one of Guk-Ho’s victims sharpens her weapons. She looks determined to avenge her daughter’s death. When Joong-Sik arrives at Guk-Ho’s house, the latter convinces the cops to escort him to a departmental store. The crowd and media follow, and the victim’s mother finds the opportunity to kill the murderer.

However, the police manage to protect the criminal, and one of the officers gets injured. The episode ends with someone dropping a bag with the same logo in front of the mother’s house.
