Trisha Krishnan, a renowned actor in South Indian cinema, is making her grand debut in the Telugu OTT space with the highly anticipated series Brinda. Slated for release on SonyLIV, Brinda is set to stream from this Friday. As viewers wait for the imminent release, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming series.

What is the release date of Trisha Krishnan’s Brinda on SonyLIV?

Brinda will be available for streaming on SonyLIV from August 2, 2024. The streaming platform will stream Trisha’s upcoming series in multiple languages. Thus, viewers will be able to enjoy the series in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali.

While SonyLIV has yet to specify Brinda’s OTT release time, audiences can anticipate the series becoming available shortly after midnight on August 1. All in all, this will allow fans to binge-watch the suspenseful world of Brinda as soon as the clock strikes twelve.

The trailer for Brinda offers a gripping preview of the series. It introduces Trisha Krishnan in the role of Brinda, a police officer facing fallout from an unsolved murder case. As the only female sub-inspector in a male-dominated department, Brinda is subjected to skepticism and hostility from her colleagues. 

Furthermore, as the trailer unfolds, Brinda experiences flashbacks that hint at a disturbing past. She begins to investigate these memories, uncovering a sinister ritual in which young girls and their mothers are sacrificed. What happens next? Viewers will find out only after the release.

As the director aptly puts it, “With its suspenseful plot and unexpected twists, Brinda will not only enthrall viewers but also make them reflect on their own beliefs. It is a powerful, female-led narrative.” 

Directed by Surya Manoj Vangala, Brinda features a stellar ensemble cast. Alongside Trisha Krishnan, the series stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, and Rakendu Mouli.
