Is BTS Member Jin’s New Variety Show RUN JIN a RUN BTS Spin-Off?

BTS member Jin will have his new variety show, Run Jin, a spin-off of the group’s variety project, Run BTS. The group’s official YouTube channel, Bangtan TV, has shared the oldest Bangtan member’s new show teaser.

Grammy-nominated K-pop group BTS showed its chaotic sides with the variety project Run BTS. Bangtan ARMY also saw a glimpse of the group’s rise to fame throughout the show. From low-budget tasks to renting out a whole auditorium for a Run BTS challenge, the group’s success is reflected in the latest seasons of Run BTS.

The popular game show Run BTS has three seasons with over 156 episodes. The members announced the break in Run BTS ahead of their military enlistment date. However, the K-pop septet promised that Run BTS would be back once again at a later date.

BTS Jin launches new variety show RUN JIN: Is it similar to RUN BTS?

BTS Jin will return with a new show, Run Jin, which will air in August. Per the teaser, the show will premiere on August 13 at 9 p.m. KST, 8 a.m. ET, and 5.30 p.m. IST. Run Jin will follow the same schedule as Run BTS. The spin-off of the original show will air every Tuesday at 9 p.m. KST.

The first teaser of Run Jin, “Road of Hardship Paved by Jin,” reveals Jin’s eagerness to get back to making content for BTS ARMY after being released from the military. The 31-year-old member said he does not want to take some time off.

The trailer also shows that Run Jin will not be easy for the member, as the first episode may show the member hiking. Jin’s manager informs him they will go to the Hallasan mountain to start Run Jin.

Meanwhile, another Bangtan variety show, Are You Sure?!, will also air in August. Jungkook and Jimin’s new Disney+ travel show, Are You Sure?!, will air on August 8. The new project will have ten episodes.

The trailer of Are You Sure?! shares a glimpse of the duo’s adventure in three major cities in three countries: New York in the U.S., Jeju Island in South Korea, and Sapporo in Japan.
