Due to an unforeseen event, Pledis Entertainment’s popular K-pop act, SEVENTEEN, had to change their China fan meeting schedule. The fan signing event organizers have informed the visitors about the postponement of the fan meeting.
“Maestro” crooners held their 8th SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND fan meeting, Seoul edition, on July 23 and 24 at Gocheok Sky Dome. Furthermore, the K-pop act was all set for the Beijing fan-signing event on July 29th. However, the boy group could not reach the venue on time due to a transportation error. SEVENTEEN members personally updated fans on the event’s postponement, and apologized for the inconvenience.
SEVENTEEN’s China Fan Meeting 2024 event postponed due to aircraft malfunction
K-pop trendsetters SEVENTEEN faced an aircraft malfunction while trying to travel to Beijing for their July 29th fan event. The organizers issued a public statement informing fans that the event had been postponed.
The statement read: “Despite much communication and scheduling, a temporary change to a different flight was not possible, so the members could not arrive on time. With the safety of our artists as our top priority, after careful review, we have inevitably decided to postpone Seventeen’s fan signing event that was originally scheduled for July 29th.”
As many fans would not be able to get a refund for having to cancel their accommodation and other things, the organizers assured them of fair compensation. The statement added, “We will settle the cost of any loss due to refunds for transportation, lodging, etc.”
SEVENTEEN members express their regret over the incident on Weverse
After the official update from the event planners, SEVENTEEN members also personally apologized to fans through the community app, Weverse. DK posted, “Carats… You must’ve been waiting for the thought of meeting us; I’m so sorry for disappointing you. I’m ashamed of those who spent time to come today.”
Jun shared something similar on the app: “Everyone has seen the news by now…CARATs, we are really sorry. We worked hard, but in the end, we couldn’t see you.” SEVENTEEN’s performance unit’s leader, Hoshi, also addressed fans concerned about the members’ safety, noting, “I think you’ll be worried, but we’re all safe. We’re really sorry more than anything that we couldn’t keep the promise.” Stay tuned for more updates.
