What happens in Miss Night and Day episode 14?
In Miss Night and Day episode 14, Mi-Jin arrives home after a date night with Ji-Ung. She cannot sleep, so she decides to go through some books. Soon, she falls asleep on her study table. When Mi-Jin wakes up in the morning, she has turned into Im Sun. Panic seeps in because she has to flee her home before her parents see her transformed version. On top of that, Ji-Ung decides to visit his girlfriend’s house at the same time.
Unfortunately, her parents witness Im Sun fleeing, and they think she is a thief/imposter and run behind her. Confused, Ji-Ung follows his girlfriend’s parents, who report the situation to the police. Im Sun attempts to find a way to sneak out of that neighborhood but gets caught. At the police station, the parents are calling Im Sun “a crazy lady” while the latter has covered up her face.
Im Sun eventually loses her patience and shows her face. But the parents cannot recognize her, even after she shouts that she is Lee Mi-Jin. At that moment, Ji-Ung enters the station and is shocked to see his junior subordinate, Im Sun. Ji-Ung asks her about the relationship she shares with Mi-Jin. Im Sun keeps silent. Meanwhile, Mi-Jin’s mother wonders if the “crazy lady” looks like her missing sister.
Did Choi Jin-Hyuk accept Lee Jung-Eun/Jung Eun-Ji’s resignation letter?
The next morning, Im Sun arrives at work holding her resignation letter. Ji-Ung is reluctant to accept her resignation and pushes her to explain why. But Im Sun only says, “I am sorry,” and tries to hand over the letter. Ji-Ung doesn’t take it and instead asks her again about her relationship with Mi-Jin.
Ji-Ung continues to bombard her with many questions, including Mi-Jin’s mother thinking of her as her missing sister. He thinks she has played with everyone’s emotions, and therefore, she should have an explanation. But Im Sun breaks down and hands over the resignation letter in a rush before leaving the scene.

Miss Night and Day episode 14 further shows Im Sun packing her things and leaving the office. On her way out, she bumps into Byeong-Deok, who informs her about the real Nam Ok-Hui. In the next scene, the woman who disguised herself as Ok-Hui is introduced. A flashback shows the woman robbing another lady. She kills the victim and disguises herself as the deceased to use her bank account.
At the bank, the staff who attends to the murderer is Mi-Jin’s aunt, Im Sun. The latter recalls her meeting with hospital director Baek Cheol-Gyu, who has asked her to track his wife’s account since she has gone missing. Im Sun tries to call Cheol-Gyu but fails to connect with him. At night, while going home, the killer attacks her, and the flashback ends here.
Meanwhile, in the present, Mi-Jin’s father approaches a tea house owner, Miss Kwak. Interestingly, she turns out to be the same person as the killer. Mi-Jin’s father requests that she find his wife’s sister, mentioning that the woman has helped her in the past with the same thing. Another flashback hints at the killer repeating her actions to take over the real Miss Kwak’s identity.
Towards the episode’s end, Im Sun informs Ji-Ung that the culprit of the recent missing and killing cases is the same woman. Later, she calls her father, but no one responds. Then a video appears on her phone showing her father has been taken hostage. For context, Mi-Jin was the witness (episode 1).
The final scene features Mi-Jin rushing to save her father on the culprit’s order. Before she can meet her father, someone hits her head, leaving her unconscious.
