Taylor Swift: Will She Attend the 2024 Paris Olympics? Rumors Explained

With the 2024 Paris Olympics slated to start on Friday, July 26, rumors have been circulating that Taylor Swift may attend or perform at the global event.

Here is what is currently known about whether Swift will attend or perform at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

Will Taylor Swift perform at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony?

Neither Swift nor her team has officially announced that she will attend or perform at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony. Swift is currently on her Era’s Tour, which has reportedly become the highest-grossing concert tour in history. Although she already made an official stop in Paris during the tour in early June, that doesn’t mean she can’t return for the Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

Additionally, Swift is set to perform at Olympiastadion München in Munich, Germany, on July 27 and 28, but doesn’t seem to have any scheduled performance on July 26. Previously, she performed in Las Vegas for the 2024 Super Bowl on February 11, after taking the stage a day before in Tokyo. So, there is a precedence for her appearing at two different types of shows so close together.

It’s also worth noting that the pop superstar has a connection to the US delegation to the Olympics this year through Simone Biles and a few other athletes. After Biles exited the Tokyo Olympics, Swift hailed the gymnast as a “hero” in a video tribute, as reported by People. Biles also used Swift’s track “…Ready For It?” for her floor routine in late June. In an X (formerly Twitter) post, Swift responded, “Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho.”

This would also be a unique Olympic opening ceremony for Swift to attend, even if she did not perform. For the first time in the history of the Olympic Summer Games, the ceremony will not be held inside a stadium, but at the heart of the host city along the Seine.
