Kanguva Cast: Will Karthi Appear in Suriya’s Upcoming Movie?

Real-life brothers Suriya and Karthi have garnered a massive fan base with their iconic roles in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Fans have been eagerly anticipating a collaboration between the two on the big screen, and it seems their wish is about to be fulfilled. Recent reports confirm that the duo will star together in the highly anticipated action drama, Kanguva.

Directed by Siva, Kanguva stars Suriya as the protagonist and Bobby Deol as the lead antagonist. Additionally, the fantasy action-drama features Disha Patani in the female lead. Initially, makers announced this project in 2019 but faced delays due to the pandemic. It was later relaunched in August 2022 under the tentative title Suriya 42, marking Suriya’s 42nd film as a lead actor.

Earlier this year, the makers released a teaser for Kanguva, hinting at an epic confrontation between Suriya and Bobby Deol. Although makers have not yet released the full trailer, much of the film’s details remain under wraps. The film’s synopsis on IMDb reads, “A story that travels 500 years from the 1700s to 2023 about a Hero who has to fulfill a mission left unfinished.”

Kanguva cameo: Will Karthi play a role in Suriya’s new movie?

Kanguva will hit big screens on October 10, 2024, with lead actor Suriya actively promoting the film. Amidst the anticipation, reports suggest that Karthi will play a crucial role in the ending, leading to its potential sequel. If these reports are accurate, it will be intriguing to see how director Siva crafts a cliffhanger ending.

In celebration of Suriya’s birthday on July 23, the makers released the first song from Kanguva, titled “Fire Song.” The lyrical video showcases Suriya in an ancient, rugged look with long hair. The filmmakers have produced Kanguva on a substantial budget, backed by Studio Green and UV Creations. On the technical side, Devi Sri Prasad composed the music, Vetri Palanisamy handled the cinematography, and Nishadh Yusuf edited the film.
