Signal K-drama season 2 is currently in the writing stage. Starring Lee Je-Hoon, the first installment turned out to be a hit in 2016. After eight years, a new season has been announced, which will likely see the return of the original cast.
Recently, filmmaker Jang Hang-Jun appeared on a YouTube show, Don’t Forget Your Breakfast 2’s episode 19. Host Jang Sung-Kyu asked the director about his wife, Kim Eun-Hee. She is the star writer of the K-drama Signal. In the show, the husband confirmed that Eun-Hee is writing the season 2 script.
For those unversed, Eun-Hee rose to fame after the success of Signal. She won the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Screenplay for the series. Hence, fans are thrilled about the upcoming season.
Signal K-drama cast members to reprise roles in season 2
On the Don’t Forget Your Breakfast 2 show, Jang Hang-Jun shared a major detail about Signal K-drama season 2. Jokingly, he mentioned that he encouraged his wife to write screenplays. After Lee Je-Hoon’s drama success, he believes Kim Eun-Hee is a good writer.
When host Jang Sung-Kyu pestered the filmmaker to dish out more information, Hang-Jun said that Eun-Hee is currently working on the script. He then warned the host that he could not spill more beans. However, he confirmed a major spoiler about the cast.
To dig deeper, Sung-Kyu slyly mentioned that Je-Hoon has already signed a contract with Eun-Hee. In response, Hang-Jun hesitantly said, “Basically, all the original actors will be appearing.”
Meanwhile, Signal season 1 lead cast included Je-Hoon, Kim Hye-Soo, Jo Jin-Woong, and Kim Won-Hae. The synopsis reads, “Communicating via a walkie-talkie that transcends time, a profiler from 2015 and a detective from 1989 join forces to tackle crimes and injustice.”
