In the previous episode, Lee Mi-Jin (Eun-Ji) and Gye Ji-Ung (Jin-Hyuk) came a little closer to each other. Toward the end, Mi-Jin’s older version, Im Sun (Jung-Eun), tagged along with Byeong-Deok to search hospital director Baek Cheol-Gyu’s workplace. But things got ugly when Cheol-Gyu kidnapped Im Sun.

Miss Night and Day episode 12 begins with Cheol-Gyu looking at Im Sun, whose hands are tied. She appears scared as she looks at the culprit, who thinks Im Sun is Mi-Jin’s missing aunt. Meanwhile, prosecutor Ji-Ung looks around the hospital, panicking because he assumes that Cheol-Gyu has kidnapped Mi-Jin.

What happens in Miss Night and Day episode 12?

Miss Night and Day episode 12 begins with a flashback when Cheol-Gyu filed a complaint for his missing wife. After the police didn’t help him, he sought a private detective’s help. He informed the husband that his wife regularly met someone at a motel and that her case was similar to the past serial missing cases. Cheol-Gyu then rushed to a bank and met Im Sun (Mi-Jin’s aunt) to track his wife’s bank records. Further, the flashback shows police finding out that the hospital director’s wife was dead.

The cops arrested the husband, accusing him of his wife’s murder. He was later released on bail. Cheol-Gyu then tried to contact Im Sun but found out that she had resigned. Along with the private detective, Cheol-Gyu assumed that Im Sun had a part in his wife’s death. The flashback ends here.

Mi-Jin now understands why Cheol-Gyu mistook her as her aunt. Mi-Jin looks like her and also uses her name for her older version. Mi-Jin/Im Sun tries to make the hospital director understand that she is not her aunt. But the vengeful husband is not ready to believe her.

Did Choi Jin-Hyuk save Jung Eun-Ji or Lee Jung-Eun?

Im Sun begs Cheol-Gyu to wait till the clock strikes 7:00 p.m. so that she can prove that she is not her aunt. After waiting for a while, he loses his patience and is about to attack the lady. Meanwhile, Ji-Ung figures out the place where Cheol-Gyu must have hidden Mi-Jin. As he beaks into the room, Ji-Ung and Cheol-Gyu get involved in a scuffle.

Soon, the sun sets, and Im Sun transforms into Mi-Jin. Ji-Ung has not witnessed the transformation, so he still thinks that the hospital director has kidnapped the young woman. Finally, he manages to save the love of his life, who hugs him tightly and breaks down. Later, Mi-Jin tells Ji-Ung that she does not remember what happened. On the other hand, Cheol-Gyu looks shocked when Byeong-Deok accuses him of kidnapping Mi-Jin. The culprit insists that he didn’t kidnap “Mi-Jin.”

Meanwhile, Mi-Jin and Ji-Ung grow closer; however, the former worries about Cheol-Gyu revealing her secret. The next day, Im Sun approaches Ji-Ung and requests that he let her interrogate Cheol-Gyu. She reveals her true identity to the suspect, who initially refuses to believe her. But later, Cheol-Gyu connects the dots.

Miss Night and Day episode 12 further shows Mi-Jin telling her friend that her transformation from Im Sun to her younger self is taking more time lately. They claim that if she doesn’t find a solution soon, then she will likely be forever turned into Im Sun.

The next day, Mi-Jin decides to let the cops know that she is a witness to the recent murder case. When Ji-Ung finds out, he brings her out of the police station before she can talk to the police. She tries to convince the prosecutor that her confession may speed up the investigation and insists that Cheol-Gyu is not the real culprit. Raising his voice in pain and frustration, Ji-Ung tells Mi-Jin that she will find the culprit. But he becomes silent when Mi-Jin sobs and replies that he has not caught the killer yet.

In the end, Ji-Ung pulls her into a tight embrace and says, “I promise I’ll catch them. I’ll never let someone I care about disappear again.” Then, the two look at each other, and Ji-Ung leans forward and kisses her.
