Here’s everything that happens at the end of House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6.

What happens at the end of House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6?

In Episode 6, Rhaenyra asks Ser Steffon Darklyn, one of the members of her Queensguard, if he will attempt to become a dragonrider as his grandmother’s grandmother was a Targaryen princess. Unfortunately, Seasmoke, the former dragon of Laenor Velaryon, refuses him as his rider and burns him alive.

In King’s Landing, Aemond removes Alicent from the small council and sends Criston Cole back to the Riverlands to help a Lannister army uproot Daemon from Harrenhal. Aegon wakes up, but Aemond ensures that heknows how the order of things has changed. Aemond also makes it clear that he intends to reinstate Otto Hightower as the Hand, prompting the ever-ambitious Larys Strong to go to Aegon and deny him the concoction Orwyle has prepared for him (likely the milk of the poppy, an opiate that serves both as a painkiller and anesthetic). Even though Aegon will be constantly in pain because of this, his mind will be clear.

At Harrenhal, Daemon continues to have nightmares and sees his dead brother in them. He later learns that Grover Tully is dead, and it is heavily implied that Alys has something to do with it. Back in King’s Landing, Mysaria’s agents begin to cause discord among the smallfolk. After Rhaenyra sends food to the starving population, the people attack Alicent and Helaena on the streets. Toward the end of the episode, Seasmoke claims a new rider. When Rhaenyra learns about it, she rides out on Syrax.

Who is the new rider of Seasmoke in House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6?

Addam of Hull is the new rider of Seasmoke. He is one of Corlys’ illegitimate children. Unlike his brother Alyn, he is more ambitious and hopes to improve their circumstances through their connection to their estranged father. In George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, Addam and Alyn’s mother is a trader named Marilda of Hull, with Hull being a town on Driftmark.
