Stray Kids ‘Slash:’ Release Date of Deadpool & Wolverine Soundtrack Revealed

K-pop act Stray Kids will release an official soundtrack, “Slash” for Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine movie. The release date of Stray Kids’ Deadpool 3 track was unveiled a day before their comeback album dropped.

Stray Kids members Bang Chan and Felix’s friendship with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds dates back several years. So, fans speculate that the song has been in the making for a while now. However, the crossover of Deadpool and Stray Kids does not end with their song release for the upcoming Marvel film.

Before the Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack release, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman appeared in Stray Kids’ new title track, “Chk Chk Boom” MV. This was a goosebump moment for fans worldwide as the K-pop world rarely sees two Hollywood A-listers making a cameo in a music video.

Release date of Deadpool 3 Stray Kids song ‘Slash’ revealed

Stray Kids’ new Deadpool & Wolverine track, “Slash,” will drop on July 24 worldwide. The track is part of an 18-song soundtrack that includes “The Greatest Show” from The Greatest Showman (performed by Hugh Jackman).

After the digital release, Stray Kids’ “Slash” will also feature in the Vinyl CD, available from July 26. Marvel also revealed in a press release, “The Deadpool & Wolverine Original Score digital album, with music by composer Rob Simonsen, will also be available in ATMOS on July 24, along with the digital deluxe edition soundtrack, which includes both songs and score.”

Meanwhile, Stray Kids fans celebrate the K-pop act’s huge milestone moment as they prepare for their first Marvel collaboration release. Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Stray Kids started a friendship after the latter used a Deadpool theme in one of their Mnet shows, Kingdom Stage.

In the viral 2021 Kingdom performance, Felix appears as Deadpool at the beginning of the stage. Ryan was impressed with the performance and tweeted ‘hello’ under their video. Since then, the Stray Kids members Felix and Bang Chan have exchanged hilarious comments and met in person on various occasions.

Their friendship also made Ryan declare Bang Chan and Felix his favorite Australians, a title reserved for his best buddy, Hugh Jackman, for years. Ultimately, K-pop fans see the fruition of their friendship culminating as one of the most significant crossovers in pop culture.
