Lee Se-Young & Kentaro Sakaguchi’s What Comes After Love K-Drama Release Date Revealed

The release date of Lee Se-Young and Kentaro Sakaguchi’s upcoming K-drama, What Comes After Love, has been revealed. The highly anticipated romance series is set to premiere in fall 2024. It is a love story of people from two countries.

With the release date announcement, Coupang Play unveiled the posters of the new drama. They feature the lead characters, Hong and Jungo, looking at each other with tears. It appears they are parting ways, showcasing the pain in their eyes.

Furthermore, What Comes After Love is based on the best-selling novel by Gong Ji-Young and Tsuji Hitonari, in which a Korean woman and a Japanese man fall in love.

Lee Se-Young & Kentaro Sakaguchi’s What Comes After Love K-Drama: When is the release date? 

Lee Se-Young and Kentaro Sakaguchi’s What Comes After Love K-drama will be released on September 27, 2024. It will air on Coupang Play at 8:00 p.m. KST. It consists of six episodes, released every Friday.

What Comes After Love K-Drama: What is it about?

What Comes After Love K-drama revolves around a Korean woman, Choi Hong, and a Japanese man, Aoki Jungo. They fall in love, but practicality becomes a problem. On MyDramaList, the synopsis reads, “Choi Hong is a Korean student studying in Japan. She meets Aoki Jungo, and they fall in love with each other. But they break up due to different thoughts about love and practical problems. Five years later, Hong and Jungo met in Korea.”

This is the first time Kentaro Sakaguchi has collaborated with the Korean industry. Meanwhile, the cast also includes Hong Jong-Hyun as Kim Min-Joon and Nakamura Anne as Kobayashi Kanna. It appears that K-drama fans will see many Japanese actors in the upcoming series. 

Directed by Moon Hyun-Sung, What Comes After Love will be Lee Se-Young’s first K-drama this year. She was last seen in the 2023 series The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract.
