The upcoming K-drama Serendipity’s Embrace, starring Kim So-Hyun, recently released a preview trailer featuring the second lead. Actor Yoon Ji-On will essay the role of Bang Jun-Ho in the upcoming romance comedy series. He will pursue So-Hyun’s character, Lee Hong-Joo.
Based on a popular webtoon, Serendipity’s Embrace is an upcoming romance K-drama. Starring Kim So-Hyun and Chae Jong-Hyeop in lead roles, the storyline centers around the themes of fate and coincidence. In the recently released trailer, the series highlights the first encounter of Hong-Joo and Kang Hoo-Yeong as adults. Furthermore, it also introduces the second lead, Ji-On, who likes Hong-Joo.
Kim So-Hyun’s New K-drama Serendipity’s Embrace: Yoon Ji-On plays second lead
As mentioned earlier, Kim So-Hyun‘s upcoming K-drama, Serendipity’s Embrace, will see Yoon Ji-On playing the second lead, Bang Jun-Ho. The latest trailer features his encounter with Hong-Joo as he asks, “How have you been?” With an adoring look, Jun-Ho appears to have a soft spot for the girl.
Furthermore, the preview reveals that Jun-Ho is Hong-Joo’s ex-boyfriend. He continues to pursue her even though they have parted ways. However, their interaction will likely make Kang Hoo-Yeong (Chae Jong-Hyeop) jealous. Will Jun-Ho’s interference bring Hu-Yeong and Hong-Joo closer? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Ji-On is set to showcase his romantic side in the new tvN K-drama. Previously, he has appeared in shows with a serious theme, such as The Player 2: Master of Swindlers, Tomorrow, The Witch’s Diner, and My Lovely Liar. After Serendipity’s Embrace, Ji-On will appear in the lead role in another drama, Love Next Door.
Aside from the aforementioned cast, Serendipity’s Embrace stars Kim Da-Som, Lee Won-Jung, Hwang Sung-Bin, Kim Won-Hae, and Choi Dae-Chul. The drama is about a girl who used to like a boy in high school. After her confession ends in heartbreak, she becomes cautious about future romantic relationships. Interestingly, after many years, fate brings her first love in front of her. As adults, they struggle to explore their feelings for each other.
The upcoming K-drama will premiere on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 8:40 p.m. on tvN. It will also stream on Viki.
