The chapter starts with a flashback dating back 26 years ago. Vegapunk and Clover are talking in Punk Hazard. Clover asks Vegapunk to assist in his research involving the Void Century. Vegapunk declines, saying he works for the Government. Clover reveals that he has a “D” in his name and he hid it because his brother was killed in front of him.
Years later, Vegapunk and Caesar hear about the destruction of Ohara. Vegapunk eventually goes to Ohara and cries in front of the lake. In the present, Vegapunk’s broadcast is still ongoing.
Lilith warns the Straw Hats that they can’t escape yet because Nusjuro might attack them midair, meaning the Sunny might not reach the sea. Atlas knocks Lilith out and turns off a switch on Lilith’s head. York notices the disappearance of Lilith’s signal.
While Nusjuro’s heading for the Thousand Sunny, Atlas intervenes. She uses her shoes and jetpack to send Nusjuro away. At the shore, Emeth is talking to Luffy, but Luffy is wondering who Emeth is talking to. Emeth says it promises to protect Luffy. Brogy asks Luffy if the robot is on their side. Luffy mentions Joy Boy and Brogy says they didn’t hear the robot talk.
Ju Peter attacks Emeth, and it tries to counterattack but fails. Meanwhile, Atlas blows herself up and Nusjuro loses half of his face. Vegapunk’s broadcast starts mentioning Gol “D.” Roger and the Impel Down prisoners are confused with how Vegapunk said Roger’s name.
