Cho Yeo-Jung’s Tarot K-Drama: Release Date, Cast, Plot & More 

Cho Yeo-Jung’s Tarot K-drama is an upcoming anthology horror series all set to premiere next week. It consists of seven nail-biting, spooky short stories revolving around tarot cards. Directed by Ashbun, the drama stars many A-list actors and celebrities.

Prior to the K-drama, the CGV Korea network released the movie of the same name. The 90-minute film, which premiered on June 14, 2024, in theaters, contained the first three episodes of the series. It featured short stories starring Cho Yeo-Jung, Go Kyu-Pil, and Kim Jin-Young. Moreover, the Parasite movie actress’ segment was also nominated at the Cannes International Series Festival 2024.

Meanwhile, U+ Mobile TV is set to broadcast the Tarot K-drama, consisting of seven episodes.

Tarot K-drama: When is the release date? 

The K-drama Tarot will premiere on Monday, July 15, 2024, on U+ Mobile TV. With a run-time of 30 minutes each, the episodes will air twice a week on Monday and Tuesday. Hence, the seven-episode drama will likely end on Monday, August 5, 2024.

Tarot Korean drama: Who is in the cast? 

Tarot 2024 Korean drama cast includes Cho Yeo-Jung, Park Ha-Sun, Dex, Go Kyu-Pil, Seo Ji-Hoon, Lee Joo-Bin, Kim Sung-Tae, Ham Eun-Jung, and Oh Yu-Jin.

Yeo-Jung appears in the first episode, titled Santa’s Visit/Do You Believe in Santa? She plays Ji Woo, a departmental store worker and the mother of a young daughter. One day, she receives a tarot card for the “wheel of fortune,” and a series of unfortunate events begin to take place. When the events affect her daughter’s safety, Ji Woo’s life turns upside down. The actress is popularly known for her role in the Oscar-winning movie Parasite. She has also appeared in many dramas, such as Love in the Moonlight, Beautiful World, High Class, and Behind Every Star.

The second episode, Please Throw Away/Delivery Call, will feature reality TV show star Dex. He plays Dong In, a delivery guy whose life changes after receiving a tarot card. Dex is making his debut in K-dramas with the upcoming series. Previously, he rose to fame for his appearance in the reality show Single’s Inferno Season 2. Later, he became one of the hosts for the next season.

Actor Go Kyu-Pil will feature in Tarot episode 3, titled Going Home. He plays Gyeong-Rae, who falls in danger after taking a late-night taxi. The actor has appeared in many popular dramas, including Queen of Tears, The Midnight Studio, Frankly Speaking, and Backstreet Rookie.

Meanwhile, the remaining actors will also perform pivotal roles in their respective episodes. Kim Sung-Tae and Ham Eun-Jung will feature in Couple Manager, while Park Ha-Sun’s episode name is Rental Mom. Oh Yu-Jin stars in Fishing, and Seo Ji-Hoon and Lee Joo-Bin’s episode title is Single Storage Box.

Filmmaker Ashbun (Choi Byeong-Gil) has directed the series. In a press conference, he explained his vision and said, “Tarot explores the stories of individuals who possess the determination to resist fate. We endeavored to depict real-life characters with a documentary-style approach.”

Tarot K-drama: What is it about?

The upcoming South Korean drama Tarot features seven horror stories centered around the theme of tarot cards. According to MyDramaList, the synopsis reads, “Tarot unfolds as a series of seven omniverse horror episodes delving into mysterious events that could be part of anyone’s everyday life, all centered around the theme of tarot cards. The plot kicks off as the main characters each receive different tarot cards, and in that moment, find their destinies cursed by the twisted tarot cards.”

Furthermore, the titles of the seven episodes are Santa’s Visit/Do You Believe in Santa?, Please Throw Away/Delivery Call, Going Home, Couple Manager, Rental Mom, Fishing, and Single Storage Box. The June 2024 movie has already released the first three stories and garnered appreciation from viewers.
