K-pop group Enhypen’s new song ‘Moonstruck:’ What do the lyrics mean?
HYBE group Enhypen’s new song, “Moonstruck,” has lyrics conveying the group’s wish to take their beloved on a moonlit date night because they are ‘moonstruck’ by this person. Moonstruck means when someone is so awestruck that they lose their capacity to do anything normally.
In the new track, Enhypen uses the word “Moonstruck” as a clever wordplay, depicting a moonlit night of magic and madness where they get to be with their beloved. In verse 1, Enhypen sings, “Let me take you to paradise/ Revealing the moon behind the clouds/ I’m so intoxicated, getting more and more into you, baby/ Won’t you let me in? Our secret/ An attraction you can’t resist.”
In the chorus, the K-pop act directly references the song’s title, crooning perfect harmony: “Just the two of us/ Getting deeply moonstruck/ Oh, you make me go/ Crazy over you.” In the last section of the chorus, the song peaks when they sing, “We can take it slow/ Moonstruck in ecstasy/ Oh, you make me go/ Crazy over you, you.”
After a series of darker concepts, the freshness of “Moonstruck” and other songs like “Highway 1009” have also impressed fans. As a result, Enhypen charted at number 1 on the MelOn search right after the album’s release. The album’s title track, “XO (Only If You Say Yes),” also topped the Bugs Real-Time Chart.
Meanwhile, Enhypen is also getting ready to meet fans at KCON LA 2024 on July 27, Day 2, at the M Countdown stage. Along with Enhypen, the day two lineup also features Nmixx, Hyolyn, and TWS.
