The workplace romance Chinese drama As Beautiful as You, featuring Xu Kai and Tan Songyun in the lead roles, released episode 17 on July 11, 2024. As seen in the official trailer, Ji Xing (Tan Songyun) resigns from her job on a whim to pursue her dream. Episode 17 focuses on Ji Xing successfully dealing with the printer issue.
In this episode, Han Ting looks into the shares owned by the directors who supported his cousin at the board meeting. He makes Xiao buy fractional shares of Dongyang Medical so that nobody can ask him about his investment in Xincheng. Han Ting thinks that his sister is agitated because he fired her trusted followers and took over the HR department at Dongyang Medical. Buying shares of Dongyang is his way of ensuring that nobody can question his integrity.
Even though his grandfather has the ultimate speech of power, Han Ting refuses to take his help. He wants to put all his cards on the table instead of hiding. But Xiao teases Han Ting that even after putting in so much effort, Ji Xing still doesn’t recognize his feelings. Han Ting answers that Ji Xing just broke up with her ex-boyfriend, and he doesn’t want to rush anything.

On his way home, Han Ting calls Ji Xing to inquire about the printer situation. He finds out that she is still working till late at night. She and her team have been trying to repair the printer, following the instructions given by Beili. They have even managed to borrow a printer from Nanyou Technology. Furthermore, Li Li and Zhou have landed in Jinxi, so they can do the printing and fly back the next day.
Chen Zou, the one who damaged the printer, worries that Ji Xing will fire him. Meanwhile, Han Ting brings food for Ji Xing and her colleagues. When asked why Ji Xing is working so late, she reveals that she wants to create a different work environment at her office. She could punish or even fire Zou, but she doesn’t want to discourage him or the other employees. Ji Xing’s positivity and work ethic amaze Han Ting.
Was Tan Songyun able to overcome the predicament at work?
Han Ting’s grandfather strictly criticizes his decision to buy shares without discussing it with him. He gives him two choices: either he has to pull away from Xinghen, or he has to appoint a manager for Ji Xing. Meanwhile, Ji Xing receives the bad news that Li Li and Zhou’s flight is delayed, and they won’t be able to deliver the printer in time.
Just when all hopes seem lost, Zou manages to fix the scraper on the printer at the last moment and saves the day. Meanwhile, Han Ting gets into an argument with his cousin over getting a manager for Xingchen. Han Ting’s anger doubles when he notices that his cousin has proposed to make her own assistant the manager. Ji Xing interrupts their meeting and presents him with the report of the sample inspection.
What happens in As Beautiful As You episode 17’s ending?
Despite his cousin’s strong disapproval, Han Ting approves of the sample and, without wasting any more time, sends it for further inspection. Furthermore, he invites Ji Xing to attend an AI Medical Trade Fair that will be held in Shenzhen. Ji Xing’s excitement knows no bounds, as she always wanted to attend the event but never managed to get in.
Meanwhile, Zou expresses his gratitude for not giving up on him. At the company meeting, Ji Xing shared the credit with all her employees. Also, she accepts Han Ting’s invitation. After landing in Shenzhen, she bumps into Han Ting in the hotel lobby.
