The workplace romance Chinese drama As Beautiful as You, featuring Xu Kai and Tan Songyun in the lead roles, released episode 16 on July 10, 2024. As seen in the official trailer, Ji Xing (Tan Songyun) resigns from her job on a whim to pursue her dream. Episode 16 focuses on Han Ting (Xu Kai) attending an important meeting with investors.
In this episode, Yixiao comforts Li Li when she struggles to make a decision. Miss Zeng meets up with the raw materials supplier, Mr. Ma. But to her surprise, he turns down her request as he already has an important client. Even after her consistent pestering, he refuses to disclose any other information about the client. But he promises to delay the delivery as much as possible.
Mr. Ma’s delayed delivery date stresses out Ji Xing. She worries that they won’t be able to finish the work within the deadline set by Dongyang Medical. Furthermore, without the raw materials, they won’t even be able to inspect the samples. When Han Ting hears about Ji Xing’s concern, he offers to help her, but she turns down his offer.

Han Ting reminds her of her responsibilities as the boss and advises her not to waste her time setting someone up. He directly asks her if she is the one who asked Mr. Ma to postpone the delivery of the raw materials.
Miss Zeng initially denies the accusation but slowly discloses the truth after Han Ting reveals that he has investigated it personally. She reveals that she was angry with Ji Xing for poaching her employee behind her back. She promises Han Ting that she will fix the matter.

Han Ting calls Ji Xing to his office for a quick briefing. He enrolls her in an MBA program at a prestigious university. In the class, Ji Xing meets Mr. Ma Feng, who she admires a lot. She had seen his interviews on genetic testing and had grown fond of him. However, Ma Feng shows no interest in having a conversation with her.
However, his attitude changes when he sees Han Ting with her. Ji Xing is impressed to see how much power he holds. While eating at the cafeteria, the duo reminisce about their college days. Ji Xing mentions that the only reason why she couldn’t contact Han Ting was because she had lost her phone. While chatting, he also advises her on how to separate business and friendship.

After coming back to the office, Ji Xing learns that the printer has encountered some problems due to an employee’s negligence. No technician is immediately available, either.
