Why did MrBeast go to jail?
MrBeast getting arrested was revealed to be a revenge plan of YouTube star Airrack, in retaliation for a prank that had been played on him more than a year prior.
In the video, MrBeast was pulled over in his Tesla due to tinted windows, as per Daily Mail. The officers simulated a license check and falsely claimed there was a warrant related to communicating threats. Initially cooperative, MrBeast stopped engaging when questioned about threats. He was then held in a cell without access to food or water for an extended period. Eventually, when given the opportunity to make a phone call, officers dialed Airrack’s number, revealing to him that it was all a prank. Airrack later admitted MrBeast had believed the situation was genuine at first.
Airrack reportedly teamed up with off-duty deputies from North Carolina, MrBeast’s home state, to pull off a fake arrest. These deputies were reportedly off-duty at the time and were compensated for their role in the staged prank. Airrack later revealed in a video that he originally planned the prank with the New York City Police Department. However, it fell through. The involvement of local law enforcement also sparked controversy among viewers.
